Florida

I'm in Florida for my mom's wedding and the Thanksgiving holidays. Tis the season of warm weather. Remembering where I was this time last week:

Prints on Canvas.

Some samples of what the final product will look like! The prints were ordered on rolled canvas and, with the help of my Uncle Chip, we framed and made a custom backing ourselves.

The back of one of the prints. Footprints serve the purpose as my signature.

Mt Passaconaway

[Mt Passaconaway. 4,043 ft. 11.8 miles. Dead tired. Snow has melted but it doesn't make it any easier.]

Mt Eisenhower

[Snowy, blizzard conditions. Elevation: 4,700 feet. Had a hiking partner today!]

"SQUIRREL!"

[This was from my hike on Mt. Osceola last week. I'm trying to get all the little animals nice and plump for the winter.]

Gray Jay

[Can only find Gray Jays in the highest peaks. They (by instinct) are very friendly. They store/hide the food they save up all summer to get through the winter. They are monogamous and don't leave "their" mountain. So cool.]

Mt. Field & Mt. Tom

[Hiked two 4,000 "footers" today. I had so much fun in the snow yesterday I wanted to do it again today. My mission was to have a view of Mt. Washington. Perfect day.]

[That ridge you see is what I hiked yesterday.]

[There she is: Mt. Washington. I'll get there soon.]

[It really is winter wonderland.]

[Gray Jay. Later tried to eat my sandwich.]

Mt. Field & Mt. Tom 2

[This is the view from the first ridge. That is the top of Mt. Field.]

[Christmas Tree?]

[The trees look so cold to me.]

[I'll hike all those peaks one day. View from Mt. Tom.]

Mt. Choc-o-rua

11 Miles. 5 hours 30 minutes.

That's the top.

Sometimes we forget what we had to walk on to get there.

Didn't realize I had alien friends.

Ice.

Snow off in the distance.
