Mr. Redford

Thought this was pretty neat. Robert Redford in Savannah to film a new movie and dined at Cha Bella one Monday night. Lucky me to suggest he try the Lambert Bridge Zinfandel. Glad to see he liked it.

Savannah’s Farmers Market meets Sonoma County!

In just a year, Chef Matt Roher, Steve, and the team at Cha Bella have become great friends and their organic and sustainable gardens have made valuable contributions to some of the best meals we can remember. Not only are they just some of the coolest cats and down to earth folks you have ever met, but the recipes from the kitchen just blow us away. From the freshest ingredients (most from their own organic garden), to the mastery of presentation, Chef Matt has all the skills and then some…..and we are eager to get back to Savannah for another special night of great food, great wine, all shared with great friends.

This lucky spot, Cha Bella, is where we think Robert Redford was first introduced to Lambert Bridge wines, namely the 2006 Zinfandel and 2005 Crane Creek Cuvee. In fact, rumor has it that on occasion, Chef Matt was asked to cater lunch for the crew shooting his new movie “The Conspirator” and that our wines were part of the Sundance Kid’s request for the crew as well. In fact, our winemaker Jill Davis was just out at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah where Mr. Redford requested that our 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon and 2006 Chardonnay be poured at four separate dinners, including the prestigious juror’s dinner where all the winning movies are picked. Nothing beats knowing Roy Hobbs (The Natural) enjoys a bottle of Lambert Bridge every once in awhile.
